Recruitment

The George Washington University offers many amazing ways to get more involved on campus, and one of those is by joining the Greek Life community. Becoming a member of this diverse community has allowed me to meet many strong, influential women from many different chapters who constantly inspire and support me to their fullest ability, and vice versa.

Alpha Delta Pi magnificently shows how wonderful our sisterhood is during recruitment. It allows us to show our true personalities, relationships with one another, and values. Some of our many values include leadership, scholarship, philanthropy and service. Additionally, it gives us time to applaud our sisters for their accomplishments involving these values through Alpha Delta Pi and other commitments. We have phenomenal women in our chapter who encourage each other to grow and strengthen our Alpha Delta Pi sisterhood bond. I love recruitment, for it allows us to create a stronger connection as a chapter. Additionally, it gives us the opportunity to meet the amazing women of the GW community, some which potentially will be joining Alpha Delta Pi. Witnessing the new members fall in love with our chapter and get to know our older members is one of the most rewarding experiences a sister can have.

Despite if you decide to join our chapter, we strongly encourage all women to go through the remarkable experience that is formal recruitment. Regardless of believing being a member of a sorority is for you, this is the opportunity to improve communication skills that will help you for your future, network, and meet new people. I, along with every Alpha Delta Pi woman, can positively say that our sorority has undoubtedly changed our lives extremely. We hope that you all will be able to see that too. We’re looking forward to meeting all of you and welcoming an incredible Alpha Class in the spring of 2018!

GW’s Panhellenic Association recently changed hosting a formal fall recruitment to spring recruitment starting in the spring of 2018. Our hope is to allow women an opportunity to get comfortable with the GW environment.
