From sporting events to costume mixers, ADPis are experts when it comes to having fun. The Director of Social Enrichment and Risk Management works with her incredible social team to plan everything from themed crush parties, formal at the Willard, and Sunday brunches, to pool parties, midnight breakfasts, and costume mixers with fraternities. Here are a few highlights from our social calendar so far:

Mixers: Everyone in Greek Life raves about ADPi Mixers. In the past semester, we’ve had cookouts, a Super Bowl party, pool mixers, a Greek Gods and Goddesses costume mixer, a Mathletes and Athletes costume mixer, pizza parties, a midnight pancake breakfast, a decades mixer, philanthropy trips, and so much more with fraternities on campus. Thanks to our Fraternal Relations Chair, our mixers are the highlights of the semester.

Sports Games: Nothing is more exhilarating than cheering for our favorite sports teams. Every semester, we go with a fraternity to watch a DC team play (and hopefully win!). We went to a National’s baseball game in the spring and a DC United soccer game earlier this semester. Everyone gets extremely involved in the game and can often be found decked out in full team colors.

Crush Parties: Alpha Delta Pi is famous for hosting two themed crush parties a semester. Last semester, girls sported all-black ensembles and sunglasses for our “007 Diamonds are Forever” James Bond-themed crush party and, glitter and feathers were abound when we hosted our “Mardi Gras” party. Everyone loved our “Kentucky Derby” (think Lilly dresses and sun hats) at Cities Lounge. At all of our crush parties, sisters and the lucky men they invite dance until the early morning at the chicest venues DC has to offer.

Sisterhood: Our Sisterhood Chair and Spirit Chair work extremely hard throughout the year to host the BEST bonding events for our chapter. We host brunches after every major ADPi event so we can swap stories about the night before while enjoying food from the best DC breakfast spots. We’ve also had pumpkin carving, shopping events, catered dinner, hot cocoa and cookies, and games (just to name a few) throughout the year.

Semi Formal and Formal: Every spring, we host our formal at the lavish Willard Hotel in DC. Girls and their dates dress up in cocktail attire and not only tear up the dance floor, but enjoy chocolate fondue fountains, finger food, superlatives, and a photo booth with costume props to make the night truly unforgettable. We also host our Semi Formal every fall at a beautiful hotel in downtown D.C.
